Mr. Ellison is designated as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate law by The State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, and has been so designated since 1996. He has completed the Sacramento County Superior Court Temporary Judge training and serves on the Settlement Conference Pro Tem Judge panel for probate matters for the Sacramento County Superior Court. Mr. Ellison is a past seminar speaker and author for continuing education classes for attorneys, accountants and paralegals on topics such as: “California Probate, Beyond the Basics,” “Post-Mortem Planning Through Use of Disclaimers,” and “California Probate and Estate Planning Skills for Paralegals.” Mr. Ellison has also received mediation training from The Bodine Group and serves as a Sacramento County Superior Court approved probate mediator in trust and probate litigation matters. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Ellison was a Senior Tax Accountant with the, then, Big Eight Accounting Firm of Touche Ross & Co, which is now known as Deloitte & Touche. While attending the University of California, Hastings College of Law, Leland Ellison served , first in 1987, as a member and ,then in 1988, as a Note Editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly law Journal. In addition, while attending the University of California, Hastings College of Law, Leland Ellison completed an internship with Carole Ritts Kornblum, Senior Assistant Attorney General, in the Charitable Trusts Section of the California Attorney General’s Office. Finally, Mr. Ellison is also a member of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the State Bar of California and is admitted and qualified to practice before all California state courts, Federal District Court, United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Mr. Robie is designated as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate law by The State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, and has been so designated since 2001. Mr. Robie is a Northern California Super Lawyer, 2016. Mr. Robie has been a member of various organizations including the Sacramento Estate Planning Council, of which he served as newsletter editor for five years. Mr. Robie is a member of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the State Bar of California. He has also served on the Settlement Conference Pro Tem Judge Panel for probate matters for the Sacramento County Superior Court. Mr. Robie has given presentations on estate planning topics to numerous groups including the State of California Department of Water Resources, Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), National Business Institute (family limited partnership presentation for attorneys), Sutter Hospitals Foundation, Aerojet, and other groups. Mr. Robie is admitted and qualified to practice before all California state courts, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court.
